HERTFORD BRIDGE / BRIDGE OF SIGHS, OXFORD

An historic and world renowned University city in southern central England, Oxford offers a wonderful day out to explore. The ancient architecture of its 38 university colleges in its medieval centre lead it to being nicknamed the “City of Dreaming Spires”. Don’t miss out on seeing the particularly impressive Radcliffe Camera building (unfortunately not open to the public), the Bodleian Library, Hertford Bridge (often referred to as the Bridge of Sighs), All Souls College and Trinity College and its beautiful chapel.

As well as being home to a plethora of inspiring buildings and scholars, Oxford is nowadays a much more Cosmopolitan city yet still retains its rich historic character. With the River Thames and River Cherwell joining just south of the city centre, there are also some picturesque meadows on the banks of the rivers offering some peace and quiet and a chance to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the centre.
