Oxwich Bay

VIEW ALONG THE EXPANSIVE OXWICH BAY

Located a short drive to the west of Three Cliffs Bay is one of the Gower’s largest and best known stretches of sand – Oxwich Bay. An expansive, gently wide curving arc, backed by tall sand dunes, the bay is great for a long stroll and at low tide you can actually walk along the beach all the way round to other bays including Three Cliffs Bay as they open up to each other. There is a large car park right by the beach which makes it much more accessible, but which also means it can become quite busy in summer, however given its size it is relatively easy to find a quiet spot further away from the car park.

The Oxwich Bay Hotel sits right above the beach at the southern end of the bay, and has a great terrace/beer garden looking out across the ocean – the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed drink and delicious bite to eat whilst listening to the waves roll in, especially as the sun starts to go down.
